Studio Created Projects:

Studio created projects: Beyond traditional consulting work the Analog team strives to work regularly with artists, makers and creators. Collaborating with other creatives on select studio projects gives us the possibility to actively discover new ideas, creative concepts, and design innovative projects in collaboration with people we deeply respect. Our goal is to have a series of projects each year that stimulate our process in an open setting with the freedom to create, to innovate and develop ideas, products and services that resonate.

HappyTime

A collaboration between Thomas and the AnalogLab team and artist Stuart Semple

HappyTime is one of my favorite recent collaborations because it hits that sweet spot where my obsession with precision collides with a blast of creative chaos. I got to team up with English artist and professional trouble-maker Stuart Semple to bring this timepiece to life. We blended high-quality materials, Stuart’s original Black 4.0—yes, the “world’s blackest black”—an automatic Miyota mechanical movement, and just enough humor to keep us from taking ourselves too seriously.

After more than a year and a half of design and development, I’m thrilled to say we’ve finally launched this project on Kickstarter. The watch is fully realized, and Stuart and I couldn’t be more excited to share this slightly irreverent—but beautifully crafted—timepiece with the world.

If you’re ready to join the wonderfully offbeat world of HappyTime, you can grab yours now on Kickstarter by clicking the link. Trust me, your spirit will thank you.

-Thomas

AmanoPlus Bespoke Timepieces

An AnalogLab project exploring 3D printing in watch design.

AmanoPlus is "tailored time": we believe in a personal timepiece that true value isn't found in inherited status, but in purposeful design, authentic Italian and Swiss craftsmanship, and the personal story it helps you tell. We exist to empower individuals to mark their time with a timepiece that is as unique, innovative, and honest as their own journey, rejecting the superficial for the profoundly personal."

AmanoPlus was envisioned by Thomas as a brand that champions authenticity, individuality, and a modern, conscious approach to ownership, directly contrasting with traditional luxury.

Each AmanoPlus timepiece is proudly produced and hand-assembled in Italy using 97% recycled stainless steel.

You can create your very own timepiece by choosing from a wide variety of bespoke 3D printed designs in addition to a full array of watch faces and colors, vegan or vegetable dyed leather and 2 exceptional automatic movements.

Click the button to launch our online and fully interactive 3D configurator, use it to choose from over 2,000 design combinations to create your own AmanoPlus "tailored timepiece".

SELLITA SW200: A STANDARD IN SWISS PRECISION

After thorough research and consideration, the Analog team decided it was essential to mount a Swiss automatic movement and chose the Sellita SW 200-1. Impressed by its renowned precision and durability—qualities aligned perfectly with their promise of modern functional design with European craftsmanship. With a 38-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, we knew this movement would provide the accuracy that timepiece enthusiasts expect.

OISA 1937:  EXCEPTIONAL BESPOKE MECHANICAL MOVEMENT MADE IN ITALY

Oisa 1937 is not only our assembly partner; it’s a mark of exclusivity and a privilege for us to offer this exceptional family of movements produced in Italy for over 50 years by this Pavia-based atelier. Initially, the OISA 1937 Manufacture production focused on the hand-wound caliber 29-50 Cinque Ponti, a piece of history originally designed in the 1960s by Domenico Morezzi and today re-engineered to modern standards. At 29.50mm in diameter and 3.5mm in thickness, the 29-50 movement runs at 25,200vph with a power reserve of 60 hours. A stop-second setting allows for a precise time setting. Components are made in Italy, thanks to the industrial partners’ expertise, and a few parts are made in Switzerland.*

Snospør Limited Edition Ceramic Timepiece

Created in collaboration with designer and visual artist Markus Benesch

Snospør was created in collaboration with Munich-based designer and visual artist Markus Benesch, sponsored by BASF to highlight the creative opportunities of their new 3D printable ceramic.

Thomas and the Analog team created this uniquely shaped timepiece to take advantage of the creative possibilities of this new material and to act as a key element in Markus's stunning exhibition in 5Vie during Milan Design Week, 2024.

Thomas and Markus collaborated on this intriguing concept which was created of BASF's 3D printed ceramic, in a rich graphic shape. Unlike most of the work by Markus who is known for his startling color combinations this piece is devoid of color and captures shadow and light by its dimensionality.
